un regalo de la naturaleza para darme cuenta de cosas

Una tarde al salir del Instituto Armando Reverón en Caño Amarillo me encuentro con ese arcoiris en el cielo.  Un regalo de la naturaleza para mitigar la cruda realidad del darme cuenta que esos espacios ya no son el Instituto, mi proyecto de vida durante 17 años, sino que ahora son el Centro de Estudio y Creación Artística Caño Amarillo de la UNEARTE. "Las cosas no cambian, cambia nuestra manera de verlas," me susurra al oído mi viejo maestro Don Juan. Ahora este recuerdo me fortalece cuando regreso una vez a la semana a esos espacios para asistir al taller de metodología audiovisual que está dictando Jorge Domínguez, video-artista amigo. Con su sabia pedagogía me ayuda a comprender el hecho audiovisual de otra manera. Me he dado cuenta que mi técnica de estructurar secuencias de imagenes digitales en movimiento es muy primaria y que estoy lista para dar el paso a otros procesos mas complejos. Todo proyecto audiovisual requiere de una metodología de trabajo que ordene las imágenes en secuencias con ritmo expresivo y estimule la toma de decisiones creativas más arriesgadas. Esta experiencia me regresa de nuevo a mis viejos y eternos amores: el cine y la fotografía.

One afternoon leaving the Instituto Armando Reverón in Caño Amarillo I encounter this rainbow in the sky. A gift from nature that dilutes the crude reality of becoming conscious that those spaces are no longer the Institute, my life project during 17 years, but are now the Center for Artistic Studies and Creation Caño Amarillo of UNEARTE. "Things don't change, only our way of looking at them changes," whispers in my ears my beloved old teacher Don Juan. Now this memory gives me strength when I go back once a week to those spaces to attend a workshop on audiovisual methodology that is teaching Jorge Domínguez, a video artist friend. His wise teaching helps me understand the audiovisual event in another manner. I have become conscious that my way of structuring sequences of moving images is very elemental and that I am ready to take up much more complex processes. Every audiovisual project requires of a working methodology that organizes the images in expressive rhythmic sequence and  helps us take riskier creative decisions. This experience is connecting me again with my old eternal loves: film and photography.
