Hallux Rigidus

Yo nací el 26 de Abril de 1952 a la 1:22 pm. Este el recibo por mi parto con una estadía de tres días en la Maternidad de la Policlínica Caracas por la cantidad de Bs. 343,00. Hoy estoy especialmente vulnerable con mi cuerpo por haber descubierto una condición llamada Halluz Rigidus en mi pié izquierdo. Llevo varios años de un dolor que se ha ido incrementando inexplicablemente. Me toca explorar por un tratamiento adecuado e investigar lo que tengo. Tengo miedo. Hoy tengo miedo de una posible cirugía, de la entrada de la artritis a mi vida, de que tengo 57 años vividos y que comienzo en verdad otra etapa de estar en el mundo.

Los huesos son mis ancestros llamando, riéndose de mí.

I was born on April 26, 1952 at 1:22 pm. This is the receipt for my delivery at childbirth for a three day stay at the Maternidad de la Policlínica Caracas for the sum of Bs. 343,00 (roughly 170,00$). Today I am specially vulnerable with my body after having discovered a condition called Hallux Rigidus in my left foot. For a few years now, this pain has been increasing without any possible explanation. I have to find an adequate treatment and research what I have. I am afraid. Today I am afraid of possible surgery, of arthritis entering into my life, of the fact that I have lived 57 years and that I begin another real stage in of being in the world.
