la infancia requiere de un Angel de la Guarda

La infancia no es literaria. Si hay acaso en ella esplendores, ellos se muestran en una riqueza directa, sin ambajes ni artilugios. El libro de la infancia es más bien psíquico. Se trata de un libro de demoras.

_Se ha dicho que la infancia es un tesoro. ¿Cómo entender esto? ¿Quiero decir que debemos cuidar aún el niño en nosotros? ¿Protegerlo de los otros?

_La inocencia me es querida, allí donde la veo entroncada en la madurez, pues ella entonces se vuelve receptora. 

_Si en ese tiempo no hubiésemos tenido una cosa sagrada para reverenciar, un río, un mar, una montaña, un árbol, no hubiésemos sido poetas. Por la reverencia en la infancia se acreció nuestra sensibilidad.

_Si al niño se le concede una hora al día para la meditación, será otra cosa. 

_Nadie debe dirigir la infancia de nadie. Como nadie debe dirigir la vida de nadie. Eso sería un irrespeto. En nuestra infancia, y a nuestro modo, conocimos el horror, la sensualidad, la cruelda. Que nadie se meta en ello. Es una manera de iniciarnos en el perdón y la culpa.

_Lo grande, lo adulto estuvo siempre separado de nosotros; no lo entendíamos, nos parecía aburrido ante la felicidad del juguete. Allí las horas eran largas. Después, ya adultos, la eternidad de la hora es evadida. Hay demasiada premura.

Childhood is not literary. If there are splendors in it, they show themselves in a direct wealth, without roundabout expressions nor with false contraptions. The book of childhood is rather psychic. This is a book of delays.

It is a way of initiating us in forgiveness and guilt._The big, the adult was always separated from us; we did not understand it, it bored us in front of the happiness of the toy. There, the hours were long. Later, as adults, the eternity of time is avoided. There is much pressure.
