There are three worlds: the physical world, the spiritual world and the divine world.

Or if you like, the world of facts, the world of laws and the world of principles.

Or still: form, content and meaning....

Yes, it is always the same trinity:

the body, the soul and the spirit.

The Spirit is the expression of the Divine world. The Soul corresponds to the Spiritual world, and the Body to the Physical world. 

The soul is situated, then, between matter and spirit. It is an intermediary, a vehicle, which carries the elements from Heaven to Earth, and from Earth to Heaven. Everything that descends passes through the soul, and everything that rises again also passes through the soul. The spirit knows only how to descend, and the body knows only how to rise, but the soul rises and descends between the two. That is why the spirit only has power over matter by passing through the soul. The soul has a terrific power of action; it is the soul and not the spirit which acts upon matter.

Look at what happens in nature. The sun cannot act much upon the earth, except to warm it, and so it needs intermediaries, which are air and water. Likewise, spirit cannot touch our physical body; it needs intermediaries which are thought and feeling. The intermediaries are always of the greatest importance.

If the disciple improves his way of living by learning how to eat and breathe, how to love and think and meditate, he can make subtle materials, currents, energies, forces, lights and extremely elevated entities descend from heaven and at the same time make certain materials rise in order to render them more subtle.

Hay tres mundos: el mundo físico, el mundo espiritual y el mundo divino. O si se quiere, el mundo de los hechos, el mundo de las leyes y el mundo de los principios. O mejor:  forma, contenido y significado ....
Sí, siempre es la misma Trinidad:

el cuerpo, el alma y el espíritu.

El Espíritu es la expresión del mundo Divino. El Alma se corresponde con el mundo Espiritual, y el Cuerpo con el mundo Físico.

El alma se encuentra, entonces, entre la materia y el espíritu. Es un intermediario, un vehículo, que transporta los elementos del Cielo a la Tierra, y desde la Tierra al Cielo. Todo lo que desciende pasa por el alma, y todo lo que sube de nuevo también pasa por el alma. El espíritu sólo sabe descender, y el cuerpo sólo sabe ascender, pero el alma asciende y desciende entre los dos. Es por eso que el espíritu sólo tiene poder sobre la materia por la que pasa por el alma. El alma tiene un poder increíble de acción; es el alma y no el espíritu que obra en la materia.
Mira lo que sucede en la naturaleza. El sol no puede actuar tanto sobre la tierra, con excepción de calentarla, y por lo tanto necesita de intermediarios, que son el aire y el agua. Del mismo modo, el espíritu no puede tocar nuestro cuerpo físico, sino que necesita de  intermediarios que son el pensamiento y el sentimiento. Los intermediarios son siempre de la mayor importancia.
Si el discípulo mejora su forma de vida aprendiendo a comer y respirar, amar, pensar y meditar, puede hacer que los materiales sutiles, las corrientes, energías, fuerzas, luces y las entidades extremadamente elevadas desciendan del cielo y, al mismo tiempo, hacer que ciertos materiales asciendan con el fin de hacerlos más sutiles.
