Taller de Instalación: Construcciones en el espacio

 

Este taller teórico-práctico se centrará en la instalación como disciplina contemporánea, haciendo énfasis en sus fundamentos y métodos. El participante será expuesto a diferentes ejercicios artísticos relacionados con el transitar del espacio. Además de inspeccionar diferentes posibilidades metodológicas y permitir la discusión para implementación de una idea en el espacio, el taller busca entrenar al participante de forma asertiva en la minuciosa elaboración de una instalación.

Entre las temáticas a transitar se cuentan:

·  Concepto y elaboración del discurso instalativo

·  Perspectiva histórica de la disciplina, tanto mundial como Latinoamericana y Venezolana

·  Elementos de la instalación (Idea,Espacio, Temporalidad, Espectador, Textualidad, Musealización y Factibilidad)

·  El espacio Público vs. El cubo blanco

·  Aproximaciones metodológicas

·    Referentes Teóricos

·    Búsqueda de información y marco referencial de un proyecto

·    Recopilación de material instalativo

·    Instalación in-situ

·    Como abordar el espacio expositivo

·    Elaboración del kit personal de trabajo instalativo

Bajo el amparo y guía del tallerista, el participante elaborará cuidadosamente y a lo largo del curso un posible proyecto que involucre al espacio como material y a la instalación como medio expresivo.  En términos generales se busca transformar una idea primigenia mediante discusión constante y colectiva. La experiencia previa en el área no es necesaria para la participación.

Installation Workshop: constructions in space

This theoretical and practical workshop will focus on the installation as a contemporary arts discipline, with emphasis on its fundamentals and methods. The participant will be exposed to different artistic exercises related to moving through space. In addition to focusing different methodological possibilities and allow the discussion in order to materialize an idea in space, the workshop aims to train the participant to be assertive in the detailed development of an installation.

Among the topics to transit include:

· Concept and installation discourse
· Historical perspective of the discipline, both global and Latin American and Venezuelan
· Elements of an Installation (Idea, Space, Temporality, Spectator, Textuality, Musealisation and  Feasibility)
· Public space vs the White Cube
· Methodological Approaches
· Theoretical References
· Searching for information and reference framework of a project
· Gathering of the material for an Installation
· On-site Installation
· How to approach the exhibition space
· Development of a personal Installation Kit

Under the protection and guidance of the workshop leader, during the course the participants will create carefully a possible project involving space as material and the installation as an expressive medium. In general terms it seeks to transform an original idea through constant collective discussion. Previous experience in the area is not required for participation.
