Musarañas enhebradas en el ojo de una aguja
le están subiendo los bajos al vestido de la tarde
para que pueda enseñar el cielo de sus rodillas.
La delgadez azulada tiene tiempos meridianos
por donde ensanchan las sombras,
por donde crecen ciudades de sueños deshabitados.

Knotted shrews
Knotted shrews threaded into the eye of a needle
heighten the hem of the evening's dress
so that it can show its knees' heaven.
The bluish thinness has meridian times
where the shadows widen,
where cities grow from uninhabited dreams.
