Silencio: carta No. 17:: Silence: card No. 17

La energía del todo te ha poseído. Estas poseída, ya no existes más: existe el todo. En este momento, mientras el silencio penetra en ti, puedes entender su significado, porque es el mismo silencio que experimentó Gautama el Buda, es el mismo silencio de Chuang Tze, de Bodhidharma, de Nansen... El sabor del silencio es el mismo. Los tiempos cambian, el mundo continúa cambiando, pero la experiencia del silencio, el gozo que produce, sigue siendo el mismo. Esto es lo único en lo que puedes confiar, lo único que nunca muere. Es lo único a lo que puedes llamar tu verdadero ser.

Comentario

La silenciosa y espectacular receptividad de una noche estrellada de luna llena se refleja abajo, en el brumoso lago. El rostro que hay en el firmamento se encuentra en meditacion profunda: una diosa de la noche que trae profundidad, paz y comprension. El ahora es un tiempo valiosísimo. Te resultará fácil descansar en tu interior, sondear las profundidades de tu propio silencio interior hasta el punto donde se encuentra con el silencio del Universo. No hay nada que hacer, ningún lugar a donde ir, y la cualidad de tu silencio interior impregna cualquier cosa que lleves a cabo. Puede que esto haga que algunos se sientan poco confortables, acostumbrados como están a todo el ruido y actividad del mundo. No importa, busca a aquellos que puedan resonar contigo en tu silencio, o disfruta de tu soledad. Ahora es el momento de que entres en tu propia casa. La comprension y visión interior que llegan a ti en estos momentos se manifestarán más tarde, en una fase mas extrovertida de tu vida.

The energy of the whole has taken possession of you. You are possessed, you are no more, the whole is. This moment, as the silence penetrates in you, you can understand the significance of it, because it is the same silence that Gautam Buddha experienced. It is the same silence that Chuang Tzu or Bodhidharma or Nansen.... The taste of the silence is the same. Time changes, the world goes on changing, but the experience of silence, the joy of it, remains the same. That is the only thing you can rely upon, the only thing that never dies. It is the only thing that you can call your very being.

Commentary

The silent mirrorlike receptiveness of a star-filled night with a full moon is reflected in the misty lake below. The face in the sky is deep in meditation, a goddess of the night who brings depth, peace and understanding. Now is a very precious time. It will be easy for you to rest inside, to plumb the depths of your own inner silence to the point where it meets the silence of the universe. There's nothing to do, nowhere to go, and the quality of your inner silence permeates everything you do. It might make some people uncomfortable, accustomed as they are to all the noise and activity of the world. Never mind; seek out those who can resonate with your silence, or enjoy your aloneness. Now is the time to come home to yourself. The understanding and insights that come to you in these moments will be manifested later on, in a more outgoing phase of your life.
