Harán lo mismo
Nada con vigor se aquieta
en la tensa relación del aire.
A la caída del sol, después
que un trapo rojo ha cubierto la tierra,
un trago ardiente y espeso, nos siembra
en el lar. Decimos: por el polvo
llegamos al desierto, por el oasis
al paraíso, por el paraíso, al hombre.
Luego las miserias, las guerras, e incluso
la pérdida del alma y su recuperación
después de la muerte, hablan al oído
de cierta embriaguez no alcohólica.
A cuenta de la vida pedimos cualquier cosa,
borramos las deudas cuando son anotadas
y deseamos una superioridad para nuestros
asuntos, aun dormidos dejamos listas
las trampas para atrapar lo ambicionado,
un salmón, un peligroso río y volvemos
al mara hasta el fin de los tiempos.

Nothing quiets vigorously
in air's strained relationship.
At sundown, after
a red rag has covered the earth,
a hot, thick drink, plants us
home. We say: through the dust
we reached the desert, through the oasis
paradise, through paradise, man.
Then miseries, wars, and even
loss of the soul and its recovery
after death, they speak to the ear
of certain non-alcoholic intoxication.
On account of life we ask anything,
we erase the debts when they are listed
and we desire superiority for our
affairs, even asleep we leave
the traps ready to catch the coveted,
a salmon, a dangerous river and we go back
to sea till the end of time.
