creo en la vida::I believe in life

 Creo en la vida

Creo en la vida bajo forma terrestre,

tangible, vagamente redonda,

menos esféricas en sus polos,

por todas partes llenas de horizontes.

Creo en las nubes, en sus páginas

nítidamente escritas

y en los árboles, sobre todo al otoño.

(Aveces creo que soy un árbol).

Creo en la vida como terredad,

como gracia o desgracia.

Mi mayor deseo fue nacer,

a cada vez aumenta.

Creo en la duda agónica de Dios,

es decir, creo que no creo,

aunque de noche, solo,

interrogo a las piedras,

pero no soy ateo de nada

salvo de la muerte.

 I believe in life

I believe in life under terrestrial form,

tangible, vaguely round,

less spherical at its poles,

in all its parts filled with horizons.

I believe in clouds, on its pages

clearly written

and in trees, especially in the fall.

(Sometimes I think I'm a tree).

I believe in life as earthiness,

as grace or disgrace.

My greatest desire was to be born,

each time increases.

I believe in the agonizing doubt of God,

that is to say, I believe I don't believe,

but at night, alone,

I interrogate stones,

but I'm not an atheist at all

except from death.
