Observa la lluvia uniéndose a la tierra.

La fórmula violenta o suave

de empapar los sentidos

para después

negarlos.

Nada pasa sobre este cuerpo

pero los ojos ven

y los oídos oyen

una música nueva.

Brindo,

alzo las copas labradas

por los ángeles.

Observe the rain joining the earth.

dousing the senses

to deny them

later.

Nothing happens on this body

but the eyes see

and the ears hear

a new music.

I toast,

I lift the carved cups

to the angels.
