¿Quién puede decir que he perdido?
si no es menos naranja la naranja porque se pudre
si no es menos árbol el árbol porque se tuerce
si nos cubre el hábito del cielo,
el hábito de la mañana
el hábito del día
todo esto hemos hecho
fructuoso o no
es nuestra piel, nuestro nombre
No podemos recorrer todos los jardines
no podemos tener todos los silencios
Éste camino es nuestro único camino
nuestras raíces se han aferrado
al oro y al barro
hemos cosechado en la podredumbre
Que nuestro privilegio, nuestra ganancia
es la costumbre y el viaje
es a lo que me refiero.

Who can say that I have lost?
if the orange is not less an orange because it rots
if the tree not less a tree because it twists
if the habit of heaven covers us,
the habit of the morning
the habit of the day
All this we have done
fruitful or not
it's our skin, our name
We can not go cover all the gardens
we can not own all the silences
This path is our only path
our roots have clung
to gold and to mud
we have harvested in the putrefaction
May our privilege, our gain
be the custom and the trip
this is what I mean.
