 Breve anatomía

Temprano, antes de que despiertes,

abro la ventana, veo el árbol que tapa

el edificio de enfrente.

La construcción avanza

y rápidamente los árboles dejan de ser paisaje.

Las máquinas son grandes

pero no llegan a la altura de los cerros.

Los insectos entran por la ventana y espantan.

(Lo breve asusta y su analogía con la muerte).

Dentro del cuarto,

todo lo que admiro duerme en mi cama,

tiene cuerpo delicado y menstruación.

Ese cuerpo duda,

se cuestiona, mira su cara

varias veces antes de maquillarse.

Por el hábito de amarla,

todo transcurre con poco esfuerzo.

La anatomía es asunto de percepción,

de cómo se vea lo que ella enseña y esconde.

 Brief anatomy

Early, before you wake up,

I open the window, I see the tree that hides

the building on the other side of the street.

The construction advances

and quickly the trees cease to be landscape.

The machines are big

but they do not reach the height of the hills.

The insects enter through the window and frighten.

(The fleeting startles and its analogy with death).

Inside the room,

everything that I admire sleeps on my bed,

has a delicate body and menstruation.

That body doubts,

questions herself, look at her face

several times before putting on makeup.

Because of the habit of loving her,

everything happens with little effort.

Anatomy is a matter of perception,

how what she teaches and hides, can be seen.
