Un árbol asustado
Por sus murmullos al anochecer.
Temeroso de sacudirse,
Justamente ahora
Embrujado con el atardecer lejano
Haciendo un ruido
lleno de recelos,
Como si barajaran
Cuchillas sangrientas,
Y otra vez la quietud.
Los pájaros aterrorizados
como para hacer comentarios.
Cada hoja una aparición
Para otra hoja,
Un pesar diferente.
La ramita desnuda:
Un dedo señalando sospecha.

A solitary tree
A scared tree
because its murmurs at nightfall.
Fearful of shaking,
Just now
Haunted with the distant sunset
Making a noise
full of misgivings,
Like bloody blades
being shuffled around
And again the stillness.
The terrified birds
ready to make comments.
Each leaf an appearance
For another leaf,
A different sorrow.
The naked twig:
A finger pointing suspicion.
