una tora enamorada de la luna

Anoche comimos un divino risotto de tomate seco casa de Ramses Larzábal. Lo cocinó Alberto Asprino y pasamos una velada sabrosa conversando entre nosotros con Carlos Eduardo Araujo y Marco Cardozo. Celebramos el proyecto expositivo Luna Aroa, del cual Alberto y Carlos Eduardo son curadores. Para ellos, Luna Aroa es el producto de un ejercicio reflexivo a partir de un acontecimiento que se convierte en hecho universal: la llegada del hombre a la Luna, hace cuarenta años. Un evento en el que el ser humano se reconoce como especie que tiene la capacidad de explorar e ir más allá de sus propios linderos naturales. Con esta excusa invitaron a un grupo de artistas a presentar trabajos que nos hablan de lo íntimo, en el aquí y el ahora, de realidades existenciales.  

Esta imagen es un regalo que les hice para materializar sobre papel una fotoGráfica digital. Yo soy la tora enamorada de la luna que trata de entender  porque desde siempre he usado la fotografía como fundamento para mi obra. Con este grupo de amigos  intercambiamos momentos agradables en los cuales hablamos y vemos imágenes que nos permiten ampliar nuestra visión del asunto. ¿Fotografía pictórica? ¿Pintura fotográfica? ¿Gráfica fotográfica? ¿FotoGráfica? ¿FotoVideoEscultura? ¿Dibujo fotográfico? !Que importan las etiquetas! Lo interesante es la exploración, la apertura, la búsqueda mas allá de nuestros propios lenguajes.  El problema a resolver ultimadamente es como llevar al espacio esas ideas visuales y las maneras de hacerlo: soportes, formatos, medios. 
Un juego creativo y colectivo se abre frente a nosotros.

Last night we ate a delicious dry tomatoes risotto at Ramses Larzábal's house. Alberto Asprino cooked it and we spent a nice evening talking between us with Carlos Eduardo Araujo and Marco Cardozo. We celebrated the exhibition project Luna Aroa, of which Alberto and Carlos Eduardo were the curators. For them, Luna Aroa, is the product of a reflective exercise departing from an event that has become universal: the arrival of mankind on the moon, forty years ago. An event in which the human being recognizes him/herself as a specie that has the capacity to explore way beyond his/her own natural limits. With this excuse in mind they invited a group of artists to present art works that speak of intimacy, the here and now and of existential realities. 

I made this image as a gift to them in order to materialize on paper a digital photoGraphic print. I am the Taurus in love with the moon who is trying to understand why she has always used photography as the basis of her own art work. With this group of friends, we exchange pleasant moments in which we talk and see images that allow us to expand the way we are looking at the problem. Painterly photography? Photographic painting? Graphic photography? PhotoGRaphics? VideoPhtoSculpture? Photographic drawing? Labels do not matter! What is interesting is the exploration, the opening, the search beyond our own expressive languages. The task at hand is to resolve how to present in space the visual ideas and the manner to do it: supports, formats, media. 
A collective and creative game opens up in front of us.
