Con un soleado comienzo del día salí a votar con la viejita Victoria Rubio. Votamos con la esperanza de un cambio profundo en nuestro país Venezuela; por balance, armonía, tolerancia, seguridad, calidad de vida, justicia, democracia y distancia del totalitarismo y autocracia en marcha.

Para el poeta Rafael Cadenas es necesario, sobre todo en Latinoamérica, "limi­tar el poder de los presidentes, ten­gan o no inclinación autoritaria, pues a veces actúan como reyes del período absolutista cuando simple­mente son empleados públicos al servicio del país y nunca de una par­cialidad, lo cual sería una aberra­ción. Ellos son elegidos por el pue­blo... no por una divinidad. Ponerles coto mediante la Constitución con­tribuiría a evitar que el poder los enloquezca".

With a sunny start to the day, I went to vote with my old lady friend Victoria Rubio. We voted with the hope of a profound change in our country Venezuela; for balance, harmony, tolerance, security, quality of life, justice, democracy and against the totalitarianism and autocracy that is currently overpowering us.

Our poet Rafael Cadenas says it is necessary, particularly in Latin America, "to limit the power of presidents, whether or not authoritarian bent, as they sometimes act like absolute kings of the period when they are simply public servants to serve the country and never of a bias, which would be an aberration. They are elected by the people...not selected by a God. To stop them through the Constitution would prevent them from becoming power freaks."
