Esta acción, visual y sonora, se circunscribe dentro de dos de los temas propuestos por ID Performance 2010:

* Ingerencias del individuo sobre sus derechos y deberes a partir de los cinco sentidos físicos (y la intuición)

* El cuerpo en vida como la sede de la responsabilidad, la conciencia, la verdad y el compromiso

El tiempo cotidiano marca la vida del ser humano. En la cultura latinoamericana se delimita ese tiempo enfocando el pasado en función del futuro, estando fuera de la costumbre el sentir plenamente el presente. Al expresarse el cuerpo es el medio que comunica los dos territorios de lo subjetivo y lo objetivo. El cuerpo es un material plástico.

Esta acción conjuga el refrán popular “Usted lo que quiere es la papa pelada” en todos sus tiempos verbales para ilustrar y hacer énfasis en la impotencia que se vive en este momento social/político de nuestro país.

 
Tiempo: variable, máximo una hora y media. El performance es duracional.

Espacio: se requiere de un espacio idóneo con luz para instalar los elementos y desarrollar la acción. Será definido con línea de tirro en el piso para mantener la distancia entre el público y la performista.

Materiales a ser instalados: pequeña silla, dos poncheras, tobo con agua, varios kilos de papas y un pela-papa.

This action, visual and sound, is based on two of the theme proposed for ID Performance 2010: 

            * Interference of the individual over his rights and duties departing from the five senses (and intuition)
            * The living body as the seat of responsibility, conscience, truth and commitment

Time marks the daily life of human beings. In Latin American culture this time is defined focusing on the past in the future, being out of habit to feel fully present. A expressive body is the medium that connects the two areas of the subjective and the objective. The body is a plastic material.This action combines the popular saying "What you want is your potato peeled" in all its tenses to illustrate and emphasize the powerlessness that we are living at this social/political time in our country.

Time: variable, maximum one hour and a half. The performance is durational.

Space: it requires a suitable space to install an overhead light and install the items for the action. A line will be defined with masking tape on the ground to keep the distance between audience and performer.

Materials to be installed: small chair, large metal bowl, two buckets with water, several kilos of potatoes and a potato-peeler.
