Seres que llevan en las manos
los rostros
en la curvatura de sus cuerpos
tocan fondo.
Algunos, con gestos de conmiseración,
pretenden consolarlos,
--no significan mucho--
son como basados que se lanzan
en las jaulas de animales
en cautiverio.

Sorrow
Beings who carry in their hands
the faces
in the curvature of their bodies
hit rock bottom.
Some, with gestures of sympathy,
pretend to comfort them,
--they don't mean much--
they relive tidbits that are thrown
in cages of animals
in captivity.
