Can I say my shadow's mine

can I say I own it

if through dull days and weeks

I go round without it

I don't even miss it

until the sharp rays

of sun or temptation

manifest it sticking to my feet

inexorably familiar?

Where is it without me?

puedo decir que me pertenece

si durante días y semanas grises

ando sin ella

ni siquiera la añoro

hasta que los rayos afilados

del sol o la tentación

la manifiestan pegada a mis pies

inexorablemente familiar?

¿Dónde está ella sin mí?
