The Immoral Proposition
If you never do anything for anyone else
you are spared the tragedy of human relation-
ships. If quietly and like another time
there is the passage of an unexpected thing:
to look at it is more
than it was. God knows
nothing is competent nothing is
all there is. The unsure
egoist is not
good for himself.
La propuesta indecente
Si nunca hacés nada por nadie
estás a salvo de la tragedia de las relaciones humanas.
Si en silencio y como en otro tiempo
ocurre el avance de lo inesperado:
mirarlo es más
de lo que fue. Dios sabe
que nada está bien hecho, que nada
es todo lo que hay. El egoísta
inseguro no es bueno
para sí mismo.
