leves andamios,
imitar a las aves.

Especialmente cuando duerme
y en el sueño sonríe
—nivelar hasta el fondo
no despertarla;

The house
In woman, in the depth of her body
the house is constructed
between whispers and silences.
Haul the shadows of stones,
slight scaffolding,
imitate the birds.
Specially when she sleeps
and in her dreams smiles
-level to the end
do not awaken her;
follow the slopes of her forms
the movement of her hands.
Over the dunes that cover her dreams
in a convulsed landscape,
tall walls must be elevated,
establish against the rain, against the wind,
years and years.
Sometimes a gesture secures a retaining wall,
from any whisper a window is born,
wanderers we dismount to the door
and tie the horse down.
In the depth of her body the house awaits for us
the table set with clean words
to live, perhaps to die,
because once in there is no way out.
