raíces::roots
Hoy vuelvo a mis dibujos digitales.
Today I return to my digital drawings. It is a landscape that emerges from a photographic image which disappears after much intense intervention. I am interested in the game of colors and forms that appear to create a horizontal microcosm similar to a cross section of earth with its roots and its rocks. I enter into one of the elements, the earth, which determines my own nature and sense of being in the world. Yesterday I discovered the Peruvian Japanese artist Carlos Runcie Tanaka, friend of Alberto Asprino and J.F. Cantón, with whom I may show a new series of small format drawings in the Templarios Gallery from October 2010. That is the idea J. F. is considering for his gallery schedule and we just need to know that Tanaka accepts showing his work with mine. I am not familiar with his artwork but I am very much attracted to what I see in his internet site. I am curious to know how our expressions may dialogue in space. It is a challenge for us all that our images may relate to each other and reveal their mysteries. I have worked carefully on this series of drawings and they represent the tracks of the creative freedom I found in January upon my retirement after twenty seven years of university level teaching. Now I await anxiously to know that this encounter of two worlds is part of our destiny and can be materialized.
