bajo el signo del desarraigo



Creo que el hombre de este tiempo es un desarraigado, un exiliado. El exilio, del cual tanto se ha hablado y ha constituido una industria para mucha gente, el exilio no se da sólo de una tierra a otra, de una lengua a otra, cosa que es muy importante, sino que lo básico en el exilio es la separación de la criatura humana de su propio interior y de sus condiciones naturales. Entonces quedamos sueltos como marionetas, haciendo muecas en el vacío.
Algo mira por todas las ventanas.
Hacia adentro o afuera.
Algo pasa por todas las puertas.
Hacia afuera o adentro.
No se puede afirmar el ser.
No se puede afirmar el no ser.
Sólo aquello que mira por todas las ventanas.
Sólo aquello que pasa por todas las puertas.


I think the man of this time is rootless, an exile. The exile, of which much has been said and has constituted an industry for many people; the exile is not created from one land to another, from one language to another, which is very important, but the basics in this exile is the separation of the human creature from his own interior and his natural conditions. That leaves us loose as puppets, making faces in a void.


Something looks out the windows.
Inward or outward.
Something goes through all doors.
Outward or inward.
We can not reaffirm the self.
You can not claim not to be.
Only that which looks through all windows.
Only that which passes through all doors.
