"It is forbidden to take pictures of the structure, Lady," is a series of photographs I started a couple of months ago near my home in Caracas. That is the cry the building guard gives when I stop to photograph the facade that was being restored. I am filled with frustration and surprise at his words and then I feel happy when I review the captured images. More and more the daily discipline with the camera gets installed deeper into me. I do not go out to the street without my camera and constantly take pictures here in the house. Yesterday, just when I looked out the window of my workshop I noticed the back of that same building. The reflection of the sky on the glass of the building looks nice, broken, mysterious. It is distant but with my new camera I can bring it closer and am able to capture these pictures. I love them, they fill me with joy and stimulate my personal work.
