primer día del 2010::emergence....aparición

The emergence of the butterfly from the cocoon is a miracle of the natural world. Every time a human being watches that miracle of transformation, there is a change in that human's perception of life, change, and rebirth.
The chrysalis is the looking-within place that nurtures any human being's sense of becoming. In order to become our visions, we must go to the deepest core of who and what we are-- observing everything with wonder. Then the leap of faith that brings emergence does not contain fear, but is based in personal trust and knowing.
Oracle: If it is time for you to take a leap of faith in some situation in your life, take heart. The emergence of your new potential is at hand. Going backwards never works out. If you are afraid, list everything you can trust about yourself. It works!

Today is the first day of the year 2010. I awake calmly after celebrating till midnight with Victoria, my 84 year old nanny, in the stillness and solitude of my home. Neither during Christmas day nor this end day of the year I have felt sad, so I see that I am learning to face life other ways. We talked to my daughter Naya and Hanns in PLymouth, England, and my sister Reina and brothers Sixto and Reinaldo in Houston. I just need to talk with Hernán, my oldest brother, and his family in Maracaibo. All was quiet except for the cats, Federico and Beluga, who were scared at the sound of the rockets and fireworks. They could not find suitable hiding places and anxiously ran all over the place. At this moment they sleep tired from so much fright. The street is quiet. There is silence everywhere except for the sound of the wind that sways the branches of the araguaney and batter the window blinds. A first day of the year to spend quietly at home.
