Last Wednesday we traveled by road to Maracaibo to take our installation, "Hurry up with the bucket because the water has come," to the Tenth Velada of St. Lucia. I still have to include my pictures in the blog and for now I include these that I like a lot from a trip two years ago to the land of my father's ancestors: a very hot land, full of colors and strong and intense flavors, friendly and chatty people. At present and like in the rest of the country they are suffering serious problems of insecurity, severe rationing of electricity and water. The change of sky did me good. I loved being with my brother Hernan Alvarado, his wife Milagros and my niece Valentina in their house by the beautiful shore of Lake Maracaibo with its wonderful breeze that blows you around. The trip back was peaceful, we cut the country in part from the west to the center looking at the drought and the flowering trees.
