I sink into the boundary of word for word because its slope, its abyss that puts me in suspense arises from such ruin. Then, return to breath.Abyssal and on its peaks, the word sinks and lifts us: sky and ground, depth and surface, roof and floor confronted. Our limit, horizontal, vertical, up, down, inside, outside, penetrates the poem which does not cease to get done and undone, restart and redo itself, perhaps, on the other, on the others.Alfredo Silva Estrada, Through (2000)
Write as you breathe. And the breath, sometimes, as the wave breaks against the rock, among other waves, other breaths. At the same time surf and waves, the poem is free to drown in itself. It reaffirms, it negates, insists ... Like breathing, the first and last time, in a strange confluence of sunrise and sunset.

Poetry has marked my way of seeing life and has always been with me, so I include it in this blog / journal. Especially when I read what writing is for a poet like Alfredo Silva Estrada I read between the lines what to me is the act of drawing, painting, photograph. If I dared to substitute the word drawing for writing, I would be talking about exactly the same thing. With your permission poet: I admire so much the capacity you have to use the word that I appropriate it to accompany my visual images.
