In the instinctive psyche, the body is considered a sensor, an information network, a messenger with a myriad of communication systems: cardiovascular, respiratory, skeletal, autonomic, emotional and intuitive. In the imaginative world the body is a powerful vehicle, a spirit that lives with us, a prayer for life in its own right. In fairy tales, a body personified by objects that possess magical qualities and superhuman powers, is presented equipped with two sets of ears, one to hear the material world and the other to hear the soul; two sets of eyes, one for normal vision and one for clairvoyance; two kinds of strength, muscle strength and the invincible strength of the soul. The list of double elements of the body is endless.
In personal development systems it is considered that the body is equipped with six senses instead of five. The body uses the skin, deep fascia and the flesh to record everything that happens around itself. For those who can read it, the body is, like the Rosetta stone, a living record of the given life, the taken life, the expected life and the healed life. It is valued by its ability to react immediately, its deep sensitivity and foresight.
The body is a multilingual being. It speaks through its color and temperature, the heat of recognition, the glow of love, the ashes of pain, the heat of excitement, the coldness of mistrust. It talks through its diminutive and constant dance, some times swaying, other times moving nervously and others with tremors. It talks through the overturning of the heart, discouragement, the central void and the rebirth of hope.
