lo creativo está en el lado derecho del cerebro

Ayer en la sesión del taller de arte terapia en Sanarte trabajé con Abelardo Gameche: cuerpo, movimiento y plástica. La sesión fluyó bonita. Iniciamos la noche bajo la guía de Abelardo con una visualización interna del cerebro entero empezando por sentir los hemisferios izquierdo y derecho por separado, después el corpus callosum que los une hasta bajar por la columna vertebral a través de la médula espinal. Mi sensación al sentir ambos cerebros era estar fundida en una masa gruesa llena de luces que en sus bordes se convertía en una red electrica infinita que llegaba hasta los  confines de mi cuerpo y piel. Me quedé con una sensación preciosa de expansión, dimensión, presencia de colores y electricidad contemplativa.

Hablamos mucho posteriormente para darle la oportunidad a cada quien de describir su experiencia. Estos momentos son muy especiales porque al compartir se expande la experiencia y se comprende a otros niveles. Estas son vivencias únicas y muy profundas. Al cerrar esta reflexión colectiva retomamos el ejercicio de cuerpo en el cual una persona se pone en el centro y desde afuera el resto del grupo, uno a la vez, le dice una palabra que lo estimula a moverse. Ayer, sin embargo, entró la plástica en este ejercicio pues dibujamos/trazamos/dejamos huella sobre papeles en la medida que la persona del centro se movilizaba. Esta parte fué intensa y demasiado rápida para mi gusto. Creo que este ejercicio requiere más tiempo de práctica y la mitad de la sesión nunca es suficiente.

Después pasamos a mi sesión de plástica y como yo había percibido dificultad en el grupo para comprender las diferencias entre el lado derecho y el izquierdo del cerebro, propuse un calentamiento en el espacio con énfasis en la tensión y soltura de los lados izquierdo y derecho del cuerpo por separado. Luego pasamos al mismo juego sobre los papeles trazando con ambas manos simultáneamente mientras escuchábamos diferentes piezas de música que marcaban el tiempo. Se estimula el uso de la mano izquierda para tener acceso directo al hemisferio derecho, el lado creativo, libre, no evaluativo y sin tiempo del cuerpo. Una experiencia lúdica que sirvió a la vez para experimentar con ceras y unas cajas nuevas de colores al agua que compré especialmente para el taller. Se respiró buena energía, concentración, libertad ociosa y creativa con muy buenos resultados de cada quien.

Yesterday at the art therapy workshop in Sanarte I shared the work with Abelardo Gameche: body, movement and visual/plastic arts. The session turned out beautiful. We started the night under the guidance of Abelardo with a whole-brain visualization starting with the command to feel the left and right hemispheres separately, then the corpus callosum that connects the two, to end it by going down the vertebral column through the spinal cord. My sensation was to be fused in a thick mass filled with lights which in its edges became an infinite electrical web that extended to the confines of my body and skin. I remained with a wonderful sense of expansion, dimension, color presence and contemplative electricity.

We talked a lot afterward so that everyone could have the opportunity to describe his/her experience. These moments are very special because they expand the shared experience and help us understand at other levels. These are unique and profound experiences. At the end of this collective discussion we returned to the body exercise in which a person stands in the center and from outside the rest of the group, one at a time, says a word that encourages movement. Yesterday, however, the plastic arts entered in this exercise as we drew/traced/left marks on paper while the person in the center moved. This game was intense and went too fast for my taste. I think this exercise requires more practice as half of the time of the session is never sufficient.

Then we went on to the part of the workshop that corresponded to me. As I had perceived difficulty in the group in understanding the differences between right and left brain, I suggested a warm out in space with emphasis on the tension and looseness of the left and right body separately.  Then we got involved in the same game by tracing on paper with both hands simultaneously while listening to different pieces of music that set the timing. The use of the left hand is encouraged to gain direct access to the right hemisphere, the creative one, free, non-evaluative and timelessness of the  body. A fun experience that served both to experiment with wax crayons and new water colors that I had bought especially for the workshop. There was good energy, concentration, leisure and creative freedom with very good results from everyone.
