Long ago, among Indian People, the secrets of the Great Mystery were available to any person who went through the steps necessary to receive a vision by walking a spiritual path. The Ancestors Spirits talked to all who had opened their hearts to receive wisdom. The wisdom was given to those who earned the right to know.

Today, the particular steps of healing arts, dances and Ceremonies specific to individual Tribes and Clans are not public information because they are Sacred Paths to wisdom that have to be earned by the members of those Tribes. In many cases, these Native Americans have been prepared since childhood to understand the ways of their People. No member of any Tribe would ever asked to be included in, or go uninvited to, a Ceremony that was not from their Tradition. Those ceremonies are private and sacred, belonging to the people whose Ancestors created them.

My Elders taught that the Great Mystery gives spiritual wisdom to any human being, of any race, who seeks Tiyoweh, the Stillness. There are no forbidden secrets when a person accesses their personal spiritual understanding by going directly to the Great Mystery. It is up to all individuals to find their own connections to the Creator by following the messages received in their hearts. This allows any seeker to respect- without intruding on- the Spiritual Traditions of others.

Desde hace mucho tiempo, entre los Pueblos Indioamericanos, los secretos del Gran Misterio estaban a disposición de cualquier persona que anduviese los pasos necesarios para recibir una visión al escoger un camino espiritual. Los Espíritus de los Antepasados le hablaban a todos los que abrían sus corazones para recibir la sabiduría. La sabiduría se le daba a los que se ganaran el derecho al conocimiento.

Hoy en día, las etapas particulares de las artes de la curación, las danzas y ceremonias específicas para las tribus y clanes individuales no son información pública, porque son Caminos Sagrados hacia la sabiduría que tienen que ser ganados por los miembros de esas tribus. En muchos casos, estos Nativos Americanos se han preparado desde la infancia para entender las costumbres de su gente. Ningún miembro de cualquier tribu alguna vez pidió ser incluido en, o ir sin ser invitado a, una ceremonia que no fuese de su tradición. Esas ceremonias son privadas y sagradas, pertenecientes a las personas cuyos antepasados las crearon.

Mi Mayores me enseñaron que el Gran Misterio da el conocimiento espiritual a todo ser humano, de cualquier raza, que busca Tiyoweh, la quietud. No hay secretos prohibidos cuando una persona accede a su comprensión espiritual personal cuando va directamente al Gran Misterio. Corresponde a cada persona encontrar sus propias conexiones con el Creador, siguiendo los mensajes recibidos en su corazón. Esto permite que cualquier solicitante respetar, sin inmiscuirse, en las Tradiciones Espirituales de los demás.
