caminando de año nuevo por el Parque del Este

Dicen que los primeros días del año marcan los meses correspondientes del resto del año, que uno debe estar atento a las cosas que le ocurren los primeros doce días para visualizar la energía con que vienen los meses posteriores. Desde hace tiempo he hecho un juego de esta observación durante los primeros doce días de cada año. Al final de cada día, anoto en mi diaro y escribo las diferentes actividades que desarrollo, las emociones en las que me encuentro y las sorpresas que aparecen.

Los primeros dos días del 2011 continuaron las lluvias sobre Caracas y estuve muy tranquila en la casa, cocinando, atendiendo los animalitos y planificando la limpieza a fondo que casi todos los espacios necesitan. El domingo, 2 de Enero, por ejemplo, invité a desayunar a Anita Alenso y conversamos sabroso sobre su experiencia en Alemania desde hace dos años. Compartí con ella el video de Shirin Neshat "Turbulence" que apunta directo al trabajo de cuerpo y voz, las contradicciones del mundo iraní entre lo masculino y femenino y nuestro interés común en el performance como medio artístico. 

Hoy, martes 4 de Enero, me fuí a caminar al Parque del Este para afianzar el compromiso conmigo misma de seguir mis caminatas, hacer mis ejercicios físicos y el desarrollo de la fotografía como uno de los ejes creativos para mi obra personal. Estas imágenes del blog de hoy son parte del registro de esa cotidianidad que me acompaña y que fortalece el proceso de libertad creativa que vivo desde hace dos años cuando salí jubilada después de 27 años de trabajo docente a nivel de educación superior en el Instituto Armando Reverón, ahora la Universidad de las Artes.

They say the first days of any year mark the corresponding months of the rest of the year, that one should be aware of the things that happen the first twelve days to see the energy with which the following months come. For a long time I have made a game of this observation during the first twelve days of each year. At the end of each day, I make notes on my diary and write the different activities that occur, the emotions that I go through and the surprises that happen.
During the first two days of 2011 the rain continued to fall over Caracas and I stayed very quiet inside my house, cooking, taking care of my animals and planning for deep cleaning that almost all the spaces need. On Sunday, January 2, for example, I invited Anita Alenso for breakfast and we talked nicely about her experience in Germany during the past two years. I shared with her Shirin Neshat's video "Turbulence" which deals directly with body and voice work, the contradictions of the masculine and feminine in the Iranian world and our common interest in performance as an artistic medium.
Today, Tuesday January 4, I went to the Parque del Este to strengthen the commitment with myself to continue my walking, do my physical exercises and keep developing my photography as one of the key creative areas of my personal work. These images of today's blog are part of the daily record that accompanies me and strengthens the process of creative freedom which I have living for two years since my retirement after 27 years of teaching at higher education level at the Instituto Armando Reverón, now the University of the Arts.
