un arcoiris marca el cielo del año nuevo 2011

Ayer bajé a la playa para despedir el último día del año frente al mar. Mis amigas, Mariaelena Ravelo y Marilyn Birchfield me invitaron para que las acompañara a darle agradecimientos a nuestra madre naturaleza y Diosa Madre Yemayá. Al llegar a la playa nos encontramos este maravilloso arcoiris coronando el cielo que salía a saludarnos. Inmediatamente busqué mi cámara para registrarlo y después de apenas tres imágenes se desapareció, sin duda señalando un regalo para las tres. La mañana sobre la arena y metida en el agua resultó sanadora y calmante para mí. El ritual frente al mar se desarrolló precioso, mientras le regalábamos nuestros rezos, cantos y ofrendamos flores, granos, aguardiente y miel a Yemayá y Olokun. Agradecimos un año de vivencias e hicimos peticiones para este año 2011 que abre hoy lleno de luces y nuevas lecciones de vida.

Yesterday I went down to the beach to bid farewell to the last day of the year at the sea. My friends, Marilyn Birchfield and Mariaelena Ravelo invited me to accompany them to give thanks to Mother Nature and Mother Goddess Yemaya. Upon reaching the beach, we found this wonderful rainbow crowning the sky that came to greet us. Immediately I took my camera out to record the scene and after only three pictures it disappeared, no doubt pointing to a gift for the three of us. The morning on the sand and in the water was healing and soothing. The ritual developed at the waterfront was precious, as we sung our prayers and offered flowers, grains, brandy and honey to Yemaya and Olokun. We thanked for one year of experience and made requests for this year 2011 which opens today full of lights and new life lessons.
