 La telaraña

Bebeagua, sacerdote de los Sioux, soñó que seres jamás vistos tejían una inmensa telaraña alrededor de su pueblo. Despertó sabiendo que así sería, y dijo a los suyos: Cuando esa extraña raza termine su telaraña, nos encerrarán en casas grises y cuadradas, sobre tierra estéril, y en esas casas moriremos de hambre.

The spider's web

Drinkswater, priest of the Sioux, dreamed that beings never seen were weaving a huge spider's web around his village people. He woke up knowing that this would be so and told his followers: When that strange race finishes her spider's web, we will be enclosed in square gray houses, on sterile land, and in those houses we will starve to death.
