The spider's web
Drinkswater, priest of the Sioux, dreamed that beings never seen were weaving a huge spider's web around his village people. He woke up knowing that this would be so and told his followers: When that strange race finishes her spider's web, we will be enclosed in square gray houses, on sterile land, and in those houses we will starve to death.
