HERMANOS DEL AGUA en el acercamiento preliminar.....

El domingo 9 de Octubre se inauguró nuestra exposición HERMANOS DEL AGUA en la Galería Templarios. En el texto del catálogo, que continúo publicando en este blog, hay una entrevista que Alberto Asprino, curador y amigo nuestro, nos hace y que nosotros le contestamos:

Todo evento expositivo de una manera u otra, está orientado hacia un interés puntual, ya  sea desde la visión curatorial, institucional o personal. Unir dos artistas  que además de explorar medios comunes son hermanos, no deja de ser peculiar y por demás interesante.

Alberto Asprino: En el acercamiento preliminar, el trabajo de cada quien se fue observando individualmente, explorándose tanto desde el crear como desde el sentir. Hecho que más bien de establecer puentes en la propuesta de Cantón, originó interrogantes. ¿Cómo se sintieron, una vez comprometidos con el trabajo compartido curatorialmente y desde el instante que la obra  de cada uno empieza a enfrentarse a la mirada del otro, ese consanguíneo interlocutor que como cómplice buscaba encuentro?

Consuelo Méndez: Me sentí retada ante la posibilidad de mostrar mi trabajo junto al de Hernán. Este fue mi punto de partida. Al preparar soportes de mayor formato con la fórmula que Hernán me enseñó, el trabajo real para esta muestra arrancó. Me dí cuenta que desde los dibujos progresaría naturalmente a la pintura e inevitablemente al color. Creo que es en este territorio que la aparición de ese consanguíneo interlocutor hace presencia. A decir verdad, siento armonía entre ambas obras. Hay puntos de encuentro en nuestras expresiones y a la vez fuerza individual en cada una. Aunque nuestras vivencias hayan sido en lugares distintos y hayamos crecido separados, hay muchos elementos que nos acercan y nos unen. Somos hermanos del agua, del mar, de la naturaleza, del color, de las tintas, de la poesía, el papel y los cuadernos, el espacio y otros mundos que aún quedan por relacionarse. El compromiso con la exposición proviene de nuestra férrea disciplina, fundamentada en la formación teórico-práctica de años de investigación y experimentación, en tener una percepción lúdica ante la vida y la creación. Esa idea arte = vida = vida = arte resuena entre nosotros.

Hernán Alvarado: Con Consuelo he pasado momentos de gran intensidad fraterna. En fin, nuestras hijas y mi esposa formamos un circuito bastante activo, bueno para la creación sin mezquindad. Con mucho afecto, el don se realiza entre nosotros con naturalidad.

Any exhibition event in one way or another, is oriented toward a timely interest, either from the curatorial vision, institutional or personal. To join two artists who beside being brother and sister, explore common media, is no less peculiar and quite interesting.

Alberto Asprino: In the preliminary approximation, each individual's work was observed, explored from the point of view of creation as well as feeling. A fact that added to building bridges with J. F. Canton's proposal, originated questions. How did you feel, once committed to sharing the work curatorially and from the moment the work began to confront the gaze of the other, when the related by blood interlocutor as an accomplice wanted in?

Consuelo Méndez: I was challenged at the prospect of showing my work alongside that of Hernán's. This was my starting point. In preparing larger format supports with the formula Hernán taught me, the real work for this show started. I realized that from the drawings I would naturally progress naturally to painting and inevitably towards color. I think it is in this territory that the appearance of that related by blood speaker makes his presence. To tell you the truth, I feel harmony between the two works. There are points of contact in our expressions and individual force in each of the works. Although our experiences are lived in different places and we grow up separate, there are many elements that make us closer and join us. We are water siblings, of the sea, of nature, of color, of ink, of poetry, paper and notebooks, of space and other worlds that remain to be related to. The commitment with the exhibit comes from our strong discipline, based on the theoretical and practical training of years of research and experimentation, in having a playful perception about life and creation. The idea art = life = life = art resonates with us.

Hernán Alvarado: With Consuelo I have had fraternal intense moments. In fact, our daughters and my wife make up a fairly active circuit, good for creation without meanness. With much love, the gift is shared between us naturally.
