Hermanos del Agua continues the exhibition program of the Templarios Gallery, a group show, work by four hands, which proposes to interweave recent work by Hernán Alvarado and Consuelo Méndez through their research and conceptual and aesthetic explorations, emphasizing the coincident and the personal connections that link them through creation and feeling.
For J.F. Canton, Director of Templarios and co-curator of the exhibition:
"The commitment and pleasure is to link two groups of art works of different tenor, make them be plastic reference to the same project, an encounter of aptitudes and ways of thinking, a dialogue between thought and creation among siblings, forms and media, between objects and colors. A singular challenge for a museographic and curatorial exercise, for learning.
It is a pleasure to have the work of Consuelo and Hernán together. It is a significant endeavor to exhibit the visual results of two national figures, workshop teachers who have formed generations of artists, representatives of disparate trends, researchers of national art. Friends of daily living from art, welcomed to this house of worship, where prayer and contemplation arise from gesture and expression."
Two individual plastic approaches that strengthen the country's art scene, allowing the encounter with the arts be renewed and exploring sensitively the territory of being as dialogue and communication.
