 Vacío

Amanezco liviano, como salido de los fregaderos.
Esta mañana el despertador llamó a una pluma.
Ese peso que crece sin uno darse cuenta ya no está.
Solamente llevo lo que me he quitado.
Soy un hueco florido.
Las cargas vacilantes al fin cayeron.
Mi cuerpo ha sido bañado, eximido de sus lastres, devuelto a su dueño ausente.

Limpios los dos como un desierto.

Máquina lavada, seca, repuesta. Un arreglo necesario.

I wake up feeling light, like coming out of the sinks.
This morning the alarm clock called a feather.
That weight that grows without one realizing it is gone.
I carry only what I have removed.
I am a flowery hole.
The hesitant charges finally have gone.
My body has been bathed, relieved of its burdens, returned to its absent owner.

Both clean as a desert.

Machine washed, dry, repaired. A necessary arrangement.
