          La vida del ser humano pende entre los polos del Cielo y la Tierra. Retengamos dentro de nosotros la anchura del Cielo, pero no olvidemos a la Tierra que nos sostiene. La Tierra y el Cielo son los símbolos de lo finito y lo infinito, de los que participamos por igual. Nuestra tarea no consiste en escoger entre estos dos polos de nuestra existencia o renunciar a uno por causa del otro, sino en reconocer su interdependencia mutua e integralos a nuestro ser. En consecuencia, nuestro problema no consiste en "o-o" (dos posibilidades entre las que tengamos que decidir o escoger) sino en "tanto como", porque el ser humano es el centro entre el Cielo y la Tierra, el lugar donde el Cielo y la Tierra se encuentran.

          El ser humano más sabio es el que puede transmitir mucho con pocas palabras; el máximo artista es el que puede expresar la experiencia más honda en la forma más simple.

          The life of the human hangs between the poles of Heaven and Earth. Let us hold within us the breadth of Heaven, but do not forget to Earth that sustains us. Heaven and Earth are the symbols of the finite and the infinite, of which we participate equally. Our task is not to choose between these two poles of our existence or waive one over the other, but to recognize their mutual interdependence and integrate it into our being. Consequently, our problem is not "or-or" (two possibilities among which we have to decide or choose) but "both", because the human being is the center between Heaven and Earth, the place where Heaven and Earth meet.
           The wisest man is he who can convey a lot with few words, the maximum artist is the one that can express the deepest experience in the simplest form.
