ondulan lejos
allá en lo lejano
surca el mar
un velero,
trae melodías ignotas
con el sonido ronco de los años.
en la bruma del crepúsculo
en tardes de otoño
llegan, ondulan sueños
de regreso a Valparaíso
y quédase soñando
el puerto insomne,
quédanse sus ojos
junto a mis ojos.

They look at my face
sun and moon
together with the memory
of Valparaiso
deep desires
of young drunkenness
undulate away
in the distant past
sails through the sea
a sailboat,
bringing unknown melodies
with the hoarse sound of the years.
in the haze of twilight
in autumn evenings
they arrive, dreams undulate
back to Valparaiso
and remains dreaming
the insomniac port,
its eyes remain
by my eyes.
