la vida espera::life awaits
La vida espera
en algún sitio detrás
del dolor de tu madre.
Hay que merecer el aire
y la luz blanca del teatro.
Hay que merecer la agonía
de una mujer.
Y si te abren el camino
igual tendrás
que recorrerlo.
Sí, hasta algún sitio detrás
del dolor ajeno
donde la vida espera.

Life awaits
somewhere behind
the pain of your mother.
You have to deserve the air
and the white light from the theater.
You have to deserve the agony
of a woman.
And if the way is opened
just the same you must
follow it.
Yes, to somewhere behind
the pain of others
where life awaits.
