Miro hacia el fondo de la casita miniatura
hecha en cartón pintado
y decorada
con papel madera,
las hebras de embalar
esparcidas en torno
a las figuras que componen
un triángulo isósceles,
una depravación del sentido común,
un escándalo que todavía perdura.
Un buey un burro un perro
los tres reyes la ofrenda
una piña traída el último verano
desde la playa. Al pie del árbol
se representa la escena
que funda la Civilización de la Hermandad;
una curiosidad en la episteme
el Niño no menos que su Madre
y qué decir del carpintero
que completa la escena un tanto ausente
como ahogado en las aguas
de un pensamiento que no tiene costas
a la vista.
Una familia en un establo es todo
lo que cuenta esta noche
que repite las noches
de la noche en Belén
cuando empezó el tiempo que nos cuenta,
nos envuelve como un manto
una fábula una canción de cuna.
Me alejo del pesebre y miro el cielo
sin estrellas oscuro
y digo es cierto nació,
está naciendo.

I look at the back of the miniature house
made out of painted cardboard
and decorated
with wooden paper,
wrapping strands
scattered around
the figures which compose
an isosceles triangle,
depravation of common sense,
a scandal that still lingers.
An ox a dog a donkey
the three kings the offering
a pineapple brought last summer
from the beach. Under the tree
the scene depicted
founded the Brotherhood of Civilization;
a curiosity in the episteme
a Child no less than his Mother
and what about the carpenter
who completes the scene somewhat absent
as if drowned in the waters
of a thought that has no shore
in sight.
A family in a barn is all
that counts tonight
repeating nights
of the night in Bethlehem
when the time started what we are told about,
surrounds us like a blanket
a fable a lullaby.
I walk away from the manger and look to the sky
without dark stars
