En un cielo pardo
una nube más parda todavía
y el negro círculo del sol.
A la izquierda, es decir a la derecha,
la blanca rama de un cerezo con sus negras flores.
En tu oscuro rostro blancas sombras.
Te sentaste a la mesa
y pusiste en ella tus agrisadas manos.
Pareces un espíritu
que intenta invocar a los vivos.
(Como aún me cuento entre ellos
debería cobrar presencia y dar unos golpes:
buenas noches, es decir, buenos días,
adiós, mejor dicho, bienvenido.
Y no escatimarle preguntas a ninguna respuesta
si el sujeto es la vida

a grayer cloud
rimmed black by the sun.
On the left, that is, the right,
a white cherry branch with black blossoms.
Light shadows on your dark face.
You'd just taken a seat at the table
and put your hands, gone pray, upon it.
You look like a ghost
who's trying to summon up the living.
(And since I still count among them,
I should appear to him and tap:
good night, that is, good morning,
farewell, that is, hello.
And not grudge questions to any of his answers
concerning life,
that storm before the calm).
