Llueve como si no bastara...
Llueve como si no bastara,
como si un anhelo fuera demasiado poco,
demasiado lo que no alcanza o lo que llueve: bastante,
suficiente.
No alcanza un anhelo, hace falta
más y más de esa nada que sobra, como la lluvia que sobra, arrebata
el borde del postigo y cae
hacia adentro, moja los libros dejados al azar
bien en el borde, sin cuidado,
se corre la tinta en cada uno, demasiado,
demasiado perder lo que no basta,
la lluvia como si no sostuviera el cielo.

It rains as if it wasn't enough,
like a yearning that was just too small,
too much or not enough or what rains: a lot,
sufficient.
It doesn't reach a longing, we need
more and more of that nothing that's left over, like rain left over, snatches
the edge of the wicket and falls
inside, wets the books left by chance
well on the edge, without care,
the ink runs in each, too much,
too much to lose what's not enough,
rain as if it couldn't hold up the sky.
