Deslave
Desolación llorada.
Nostalgia.
Arenas que no son tales,
escombros, costas
de tierra apelmazada
que el mar irá cavando
hasta los huesos.
En estos vertederos
de basura,
están las piedras
también
que arrancaron las casas
de sus raíces.
Irá cavando el mar
en esa costra, y a
dejar sus arenales
como fueron.

Landslide
Desolation mourned.
Nostalgia.
Sands that are not such,
debris, coasts
of caked dirt
that the sea will dig
to the bones.
In these landfills
of garbage,
the stones are
as well
which ripped homes
from their roots.
The sea will dig
in that crust, and
leave their sandbanks
as they were.
