Que tus errores no sean frutos del azar o del prejuicio
sino que tú los elijas
como quien elige su remordimiento
y el consiguiente castigo.
Y que conozcas, por fin,
tu íntima flaqueza y una abyección distinta.
Inútiles tus disculpas ante eso que aflora:
la cursilería, tan mal gusto.
Y que ojalá la libertad, arduamente conseguida,
te devore y te anule
concediéndote la dicha inadjetivable
de ser tú mismo
o sea nadie, nada;
apenas algo que se repite, y se repite.

May your mistakes not be the result of chance or prejudice
but that you choose them
like someone who chooses his remorse
and the consequential punishment.
And so you may know, at last,
your intimate weakness and a different abjection.
Useless apologies to that which emerges:
tackiness, such bad taste.
And hopefully the freedom, hard earned,
will devour and annul you
granting you the joy that can not be described
to be yourself
or nobody, nothing;
barely something that repeats itself, and repeats itself.
