donde todo estuviera

ya resuelto

donde pudiera trabajar

sin conceder nada a cambio

donde pudiera hablar

sin temor al que escucha detrás

atento a la denuncia

donde pudiera amar y tener hijos

que vean el sol

donde los hijos de mis hijos

vean el sol

donde pueda levantarme por las mañanas

sin el peso de los rifles

donde pueda saber que mis amigos

están en resguardo a toda hora

donde pueda cantar en coro

canciones infantiles

levantar la tierra

levantar la casa

levantar al hombre

                                        definitivamente

pero aquí

                      todo esto está por hacerse

todo esto y lo que viene antes

incendiar los montes

preparar los hombres

hacer esta guerra

                                       larga y justa

where I could work

without giving anything in return

where I could talk

without fear of the one who listens behind

attentive to the complaint

where I could love and have children

see the sun

where the children of my children

may see the sun

where I can get up in the morning

without the weight of the rifles

where I can know my friends

are cared for at all times

where I can sing in a choir

children's songs

lift the earth

lift the house

lift the man

                                         definitely

but here

                      everything has yet to be done

all of this and what comes before

set the mountains on fire

to prepare men

make this war

                                        long and just
