DELIBERADAMENTE

Deliberadamente asumo mi cuerpo,

me bautizo mortal,

verifico mis vértebras, mi sangre,

mi condición humana indeclinable.

Calzo esta frente y la frente

del que siendo hermano es más

mi prójimo inclusive.

lnstálome en total, en colectivo,

hombro con hombro

solidariamente.

Ratifico mi modo ahora,

las costillas que opongo al viento,

las manos con que lloro,

la cal en que me integro,

mi destino también y mi fatiga.

I deliberately assume my body,

baptize myself deadly,

verify my vertebrae, my blood,

my indeclinable human condition.

I wear this forehead and the forehead

of whom being a brother is

my fellow man even more.

I settle in completely, collectively,

shoulder to shoulder

jointly and severally.

I ratify my mood now,

the ribs that I oppose to the wind,

the hands with which I cry,

the lime in which I integrate,

my fate too and my fatigue.
