Déjame sentir ancha hora
la extendida lentitud de sus brazos,
descubrir en la flama de sus ojos
jardines de turgentes anturios:
pistilos que recorran mi piel
y abran paso hacia vías encendidas
donde jóvenes amantes ríen
y sus vasos llenan.
Cantar quiero entre tus hojas
que de elevadas ramas descienden,
llorar entre tus flores,
en tu seno de tierra
–néctar, ojos, selva–
cuando el dolor de tu partida
mi juventud alimenta.

Let me feel wide hour
the extended slowness of her arms,
discover in the flame of her eyes
gardens of ample anthurium:
pistils that run through my skin
and make way through glowing pathways
where young lovers laugh
and their glasses fill.
To sing I want among your leaves
that from high branches descend,
to cry among your flowers,
in your bosom of earth
-nectar, eyes, jungle-
when the pain of your departure
my youth feeds.
